Description

A famous Stamford brewery that opened in 1825 and closed in 1974. It re-opened in 1994 and is owned by Samuel Smith of Tadcaster (qv). No real ale.

Judging for the competition takes around a year, starting with individual nominations from CAMRA members and tasting panel nominations, leading to a series of rigorous regional heats adhering to a strict blind tasting policy.

Melbourn - Brewery Tour

Tours by arrangement. Minimum 10 people, £6.50 per head including tasting of all four fruit beers. For smaller groups the number of beers tasted may be reduced.
