Reopened in March 2023 under new owners. This freehouse is an old 16th Century coaching inn. The World Snuff Taking Championship used to be held here. The oldest part of the pub is at the front with a small restuarant beyond and a small function room. It is dog friendly, with dog cushions even provided. Families are also welcome and the excellent quality food is served all day at fair prices. Booking advised for Sunday lunches.
