Established circa 1861, this pub is located close to the railway station and was extensively refurbished in 2018. It has a an L-shaped bar area with several TVs for BT Sports coverage and live music or DJs every Friday. The 'guest' Real Ale changes regularly. The pub welcomes a clientele of all ages, mainly from the local area, with some commuters dropping in on their way home. The large beer garden is appreciated by most visitors when the weather is suitable. Began serving food February 2023.
