This is a club, which means that the bar may be only open to members.
Chiswick Boathouse is very close to Barnes Bridge and is accessed via Dan Mason Drive, a turning just before the northern end of Chiswick Bridge. This is one of two venues used by TTRC, a club established in 1897 and which has produced some of the finest international and club oarsmen of the last half-century. The building is basically a shell to house rowing sculls, but upstairs is a bar with draught beer on offer to club members. There is a terraced outdoor BBQ area and inside there are 5 large wall-mounted sound TVs for watching sporting events.
On Sunday 19th August 2018, Hounslow Borough Council shut Chiswick Boathouse, denying rowers at Thames Tradesmen's Rowing Club access to their clubhouse and boats. On the 29 April 2020 the club issued a statement welcoming their return to their home following nearly two years of negotiations with the council.
