Large privately-owned free-house with semi-open-plan interior featuring linked rooms around a central bar counter: a basic 'public bar' area, a step down to a smart lounge, and a step up to a designated dining area. There is also a small secluded snug behind the bar, and a hallway leads to a darts room.
'Home-cooked' food, a la carte plus specials, with a separate Sunday lunch menu, plus a children's menu.
Outdoor drinking on patio at rear, and on lawn, both with picnic tables. There is also a patio, with more formal tables and chairs, for al fresco dining in summer.
The pub now features a shop and takeaway cafe called The Cow Shed (open 11am-5pm Mon-Fri, 11am-7pm Fri&Sat, 11am-4pm Sun).
