Imposing, three-storey, Grade II listed, welcoming village local, thought to be a former coaching inn and dating back to the early 1700s.
Newly refurbished, with several rooms linked to the central main bar area. These include a smart dining room, although food is served throughout.
Extensive menus (main & lunchtime) plus daily specials.

The Trent & Mersey Canal runs along the edge of the village, about 300yds distant, and the National Memorial Arboretum is located a mile to the east.
Historic Interest
Former coaching inn; built mid/late 18th-century (with some later additions); listed as a public house in an 1834 gazetteer. No information on any other ownership prior to Marston’s.
