A country-style pub first licensed in the 1750s, which lies west of the village centre. The open-plan bar divided into four areas has half-panelled walls and beamed ceilings. Photos show it as once a Kirkstall Brewery house. Darts, dominoes and pool are played (Wednesday free pool all day), on Thursdays 9pm there is a music & knowledge quiz, Friday 8pm karaoke, Saturday DJ & karaoke from 8pm. Outside is a patio with a flower display which has won it the Birstall in Bloom award for several years. Last admission 11pm.
