Popular coaching inn on busy road junction.
Built around 1780, this Grade II listed former coaching inn is popular with locals, boaters, ramblers and cyclists, as it is close to the Staffordshire and Worcestershire canal and Smestow Valley Nature Reserve.
It comprises a lively bar with local banter, a games room and a more sedate snug.
Quizzes are held on Tuesdays, a darts team plays on Wednesdays and folk group on Thursdays. It hosts charity dog shows and, weekly, the local pigeon flyers’ club.
