Rose & Crown, Longburton

Improve This Listing

Thatched village pub serving good food in pleasant surroundings. Up to four beers available, usually locally or regionally sourced. Large patio area & garden now fitted out with pleasant sitting areas and huge tarpaulin-type covering. Substantial marquee which now appears permanent. Hosts village Post Office on Fridays. Deserving award of W.Dorset CAMRA Pub of the Year 2021. Indoors there is a very pleasant separate dining/restaurant area with the facilities for the carvery on Sunday lunchtimes. Busy with locals and visitors alike. Home for skittle teams keeping it busy through the leaner winter months. Rare Dorset game of 'Drubbers' also played. Surprisingly no Real Cider considering Twisted Cider Barn is only a stone's throw away.
