Entering the Mitre (mind your head) is to experience a pub that really knows its role in life. The welcome is warm; there are armchairs in the bar and the beer is sourced both locally and nationally. Flagged floors extend from the bar area to the dining room: well-behaved children are welcome. Outside is an elevated garden. No food is served Mondays. Local version of a Norfolk 'Twister' mounted on the wall - spin for a pint. Ownership of the pub has recently (2023) transferred to the local Apex microbrewery.
