A popular two-roomed traditional locals' pub in the heart of Brampton Bierlow. Having closed in 2015, with an uncertain future, it has now reopened under a new tenant. The good news is that real ale has returned to the bar in the shape of Tetleys Bitter. Retains a traditional fire place in the lounge area. The pub was originally the home of local landowner Sir George Ellis and dates from the 17th century.
