The pub reopened in April 2023 following the resolution of an issue related to the Asset of Community Value listing of the pub that was secured by the Parish Council in January 2019. This had resulted in the pub closing in January.

Formerly the Sir Douglas Haig, which closed in March 2020. The newly refurbished pub can cater for 80 inside and a further 100 outside on the terrace and patio. Food is available all day, bookings are available although walk-ins will always be catered for whenever possible.

Street parking is available locally but the pub actively encourages walkers and cyclists.
