Unspoilt pub where the central bar and games area draw a good mix of old and young. The tap room boasts a log fire and old photos of Saddleworth. The Railway is a popular venue for all styles of live music on Friday (unplugged night - all players welcome) and Sunday . It is also a stop-off on the Transpennine Real Ale Trail that links eight pubs by rail. In a picturesque area, the pub affords beautiful views across Chew Valley from the upgraded beer garden and is a great base for outdoor pursuits. The Westons Old Rosie cider on handpump is no longer considered to be a real cider.
Pool table - may not be available on Saturdays due to trans-pennine pub crawl that was originally the 'Ale Trail'.
