A regular entry in the Good Beer Guide. It's still very much a village local, offering a warm welcome to all who enter. Split-level and featuring a large inglenook fireplace.

Good value and High quality food is available lunchtimes (not Thursdays).

There is a popular fortnightly quiz (Wednesday).

The local CAMRA branch held its first meeting here in 1974.

Children and dogs are welcome in the pub. Newspapers are available for customers.
