Close to the High Street, this welcoming pub with an inviting atmosphere has appeared in this Guide for over 20 years. Five ales are served, with one always from Oakham and they are part of the Oakademy. Good quality, home-made food is available selected lunchtimes and evenings, and a Curry Night on Wednesday's. The bar service is efficient and friendly. A collection of tankards hangs from the ceiling. There is a cosy and attractive courtyard garden.
