Whilst to the left is a separate Games room with some sports memorabilia on the walls.
History behind the name:- An Iron Puddler was a worker in iron manufacturing who specialized in puddling, an improved process to convert pig iron into wrought iron with the use of a reverberatory furnace. Puddlers were generally young men as the work required a lot of physical exertion. The strenuous labour, heat and fumes caused Puddlers to often have to retire and find other jobs due to injury and many had a short life expectancy, with most dying in their thirties. They frequently suffered eye problems from staring into the blazing furnace.
