This three-storey Victorian local with an interwar frontage was formerly owned by Shipstones of Nottingham. Refurbishment by Pubmaster in 2003 resulted in the loss of Shipstone's etched windows on the frontage, and the loss of real ale. The two-room layout is retained, but most fixed furniture has been removed: plain bar at the front with pool; L-shaped lounge to the rear. A plain yard at the back surrounded by high walls.
