Attractive traditional old white-painted pub in a central square within a pretty village. Two modernised rooms: small plain bar front-right; larger L-shaped beamed lounge and dining room on the left. Attractive patio-garden on the right. Refurbished in 2013. Note: card payments only.
Historic Interest
Formerly a Midland Brewery Co Ltd (Loughborough) house. Later to Stretton's (Derby) and Allsopp's (Burton); then to Ind Coope. For many years it was known as STUBBIES after a long-running landlord family: the name is on the front doorstep.
