This former coaching inn dating from 1611 is situated in the centre of this picturesque village near the River Test. It is popular with villagers and users of the nearby River Test Way. A feature is the Civil War cannonball which hit the inn, hung up by the bar. The pub is food-led with a range of ciders. There is a function room, separate dining area and three rooms for letting. It is dog and family-friendly with an attractive courtyard garden at the rear.
