A lively and friendly traditional terraced town pub, just a short walk from the High St and on the canal side.
Originating from the seventeenth century, it was formerly a brewhouse until the 1950s and there's a full history of the former licensees and the pub on the wall inside.
The single room has a lively community atmosphere suited to beer and banter. Cobs and pork pies are available during the week.
The three ales are from the Marston's range and cask beers are on offer on Tuesdays.
