This prominent two bar main (A12) road pub with wooden floors throughout was one of the first smoke-free pubs in the country, pre-dating the present smoking ban by a number of years - certainly before 2006.
Today it has a good reputation for locally sourced food and and quality real ales. Guest beers may increase to three in summer months and are sourced mostly from local brewers. Food is available all day. Quiz on Wed nights. Terrestrial sport TV and jukebox.
There's a toilet accessible to disabled customers.
