Previously a convenience store in a leafy suburb, this is a very welcome addition to Coalville's beer scene. Deservedly popular with the largest selection of real ales in the area, plus a craft 'beer wall' where a £10 card enables customers to serve themselves, the Rock also has an extensive selection of gins and wines. The cafe serves a wide range of dishes, sourced and prepared locally, and at very competitive prices. Cobs are available at the bar for those with a hearty appetite!
The seating is a mixture of 100 year old pews from St. Columbus church in Coventry, and comfortably padded beer barrels. The artwork, by local artist Simon Cones, pays tribute to the town's heritage - including coal mining and the Palitoy factory which produced a wide range of Star Wars figures.
This Pub serves 6 changing beers and 0 regular beers.
