A heart-of-the-village pub, on the edge of the North York Moors National
Park, Dalby Forest and only 10 miles from the coast, in excellent walking, cycling and mountain biking country. Formerly the village blacksmith's, it still retains the forge and, of course, the anvil. It has a cosy bar, with a separate lounge and dining area, and three hand pumps serving beers from regional independents. Food of the highest standard is served so booking is recommended (opening and food hours may extend during school summer holidays ). There is a well-appointed letting cottage.
This Pub serves 2 changing beers and 1 regular beer.
Anvil Inn, Sawdon
