The Artichoke is a 1930s flint building, originally decorated in the Brewers Tudor style, with two cone-shaped roofs, giving the pub its name, original Young's, Crawshay & Young's windows, parquet flooring and a long solid wood bar.
Bought and significantly but sensitively refurbished by the Golden Triangle Brewery in 2018, the bar now features eight handpumps, including one or two Golden Triangle beer, a great selection of craft beers, and real cider in bottles.
A new resident kitchen will be providing food from February 2023.
