This is a traditional, warm, mid-terrace pub with lots of character from oak beams to real fires during those winter nights and a cosy beer garden located at the rear of the pub. Caricatures of customers past & present adorn the walls. A pub quiz is held every Thursday, open mic night every Friday.. There is live acoustic music Saturdays. A pub with character and full of characters. Home cooked breakfasts are available on Saturdays from 11-2. Wye Valley HPA often appears as a guest beer. No pub car park but there is a large Tesco car park nearby. The pub was called the Pheasant until 1993 when Pubmaster acquired the pub from Allied Breweries.
