Cosy old-fashioned local within walking distance of the canal. Dating from 1834, the pub features a wealth of wooden beams and open fires in winter. The central island bar serves a small room to the front and a larger area to the rear, with a dining room to one side. The small beer terrace to the front and large rear garden provide for outdoor drinking. The guest ale is usually from one of the bigger players. A hot food menu is served Monday to Saturday and a carvery on Sunday.
This Pub serves 1 changing beer and 2 regular beers.
