Opened in December 2023 by a family who run a nearby pub which is a regular Good Beer Guide entry, this pub specialises in craft beers, both real ales and keg. There are six handpumps serving ales from around the UK, normally including a dark beer and 'new wave' ales. Six real ciders are poured from 'bag-in-box' containers and eighteen keg lines provide a range of beers from UK, Belgium and beyond. There are bars on two floors with table service normally available in the upstairs room. Hot meals are not available but ploughman's lunches, pork pies, cheeseboards etc, are served. The building is full of character, dating from 1674, being the former Bailiff's Hall in the historic Town Hall Buildings and is Grade II listed by Historic England. Accompanied children of 8 years and over are admitted during the afternoon period.
This Pub serves 6 changing beers and 0 regular beers.
