A very large pub well supported by the local community. Entertainment takes place Wednesday to Sunday with local or tribute bands, karaoke, disco’s and charity evenings (a national award has been presented for the best fundraising pub). The pub has two football teams, four darts teams including a ladies team, a Golf Society, and a Saturday quiz. Old wooden beer barrels are used outside as plant pots (the pub won the overall London award in 2005 and has the current borough award for its floral displays) and inside as tables. A new tenant took over in the Autumn of 2017.
