A popular M&B Nicholson's pub on the site of the Hickford Rooms, which were London's main concert rooms in the 1740s and '50s; there is an interesting notice showing the history of the pub. The main bar, with its banquettes, is a welcome retreat from the bustling street. Two changing and often unusual guest beers are served plus the regulars.
