Despite appearing to be an old building, or row of buildings, this was actually all newly built in 1999 as The Seal, on the site of a defunct petrol station.
It was renamed as the Duke of York in December 2010.
It has been set up in a way to create various cosy and intimate seating areas in amongst the many exposed timbers. This popular lounge /diner is located on edge of the town and also has a good sized garden and car park.
Various fixed price and discounted meal options are offered during the week.
