Corner terrace house in Whitby's Coronation St. / York Terrace, officially known as Fishburn Park, but also called 't Railway'. Dog and Goth friendly. Only 300 yards from both railway and bus stations, but up a steep incline. One of only three pubs with this name in the country, documents dating from 1868 show that this street-corner gem was once a fruit and veg shop. It is popular with locals and with those visitors who have discovered it. 400 yards from Whitby School and 200 from the shortest bus service in Britain. Tues is folk night, Wednesday is Quiz night, while on Fri live bands play. The pub supports darts and dominoes teams. No food, but one of Whitby`s finest fish and chip shops is directly opposite, as well as a highly acclaimed butchers. Eating your fish and chips in the pub`s garden is encouraged! Former GBG entry, but, sadly, at the time of writing no longer sells real ale. Please note that closing times can vary depending on number of drinkers in the bar towards the end of the evening.
