A magnificent four-gabled hall farmhouse, originally built in 1610, complete with a large barn at the rear, and formerly known as the Great House. It incorporates numerous architectural features in and out, together, it's said, with the ghost of a pregnant girl of 20, who was murdered with an axe, as well as a headless horseman. The two areas of the split level interior are divided by an unusual partition that looks like an old fashioned shop doorway. There's a separate games room with a pool table, as well as a function room across the corridor. This pub is a live music venue, with discos or karaoke, pub quizzes and a large screen television.
