Tucked away in the small hamlet of Old Down, this is a cosy 18th century inn with an L-shaped bar and low wooden beams . Old prints of the pub and of Bristol adorn the walls. A wide choice of high quality food is served. There is a small children's room as well as a play area in the pleasant garden. The well lit verandah outside is covered by a grapevine. Six handpumps serve the regulars plus guests. Guest beers are usually of the St Austell's Tribute; Fuller's London Pride styles. Moles Black Rat cider also served.
