Acquired by Quality Inns and refurbished in 2015, a warm and friendly village pub with home-cooked food using local produce. The pub, at the foot of Frocester Hill, has been dispensing hospitality since the early 18th century when it was a coaching inn, serving the horse-drawn coaches travelling between Gloucester and Bath. Once called, The Royal Gloucester Hussars, the pub was renamed the George in 1998 and the guest beer from Moles is named in the honour of this original name. The name Frocester George distinguishes it from its sister pub in nearby Cambridge.
