The oldest building in Blackley, erected in the 16th century, made into a pub in 1861 and now standing on the Kirklees and Calderdale boundary walk. Less than a 1000 metres from Junction 24 on the M62, it has panoramic views over the surrounding countryside and backs onto the ground of Blackley Cricket Club. Inside, there are two rooms and a corridor drinking area by the bar. Home-cooked food is available, with steak and ale pie as a speciality.Sometimes gets crowded around food times
