This refurbished premises re-opened with a new layout at the end of March 2015 as a café bar and grill. Seating is in the bar and in a refurbished courtyard and garden to the rear. The restaurant and open-plan grill and food preparation area is at the rear of the pub and is accessed via the bar with private dining available upstairs. Under new ownership as of 21/08/23 with a real ale once again available as of 02/09/23.
Historic Interest
Also listed at New Market place. A report in the Ipswich Journal on 06 July 1842 states "On 1st July, 1842, died, in her 32nd year, Harriet, wife of Mr NOBBS, of the White Horse Inn, Beccles" The original pub is thought to date from the 17th century.
