This stone built pub, which forms a narrow point in the A641 main road, was formerly owned by Stocks of Ambler Thorne and Websters of Halifax. Having expanded over the years into some of the adjoining cottages, it now has two main rooms, a bar and a lounge, the latter also used as a dining room. This is a family orientated pub where background music is normally provided, although there are also occasional live music events. Other entertainment consists of discos or karaoke. The tap room is available for functions.
