Built in the 1880's the Havelock overlooks the River Wear and was named after Sunderland born Major General Havelock, who is particularly associated with the Indian Rebellion of 1857. The pub has now a modern interior which was refurbished in 2019, having a single bar with one handpull - Timothy Taylors Landlord. Meals are served till 8.30 pm (6.30pm on Sundays). Sunday lunches are very popular. An extension allows space for more diners or a function room area. At the front of the pub is a seating area, where in fine weather drinkers relax and watch the world go by.
This Pub serves no changing beers and 1 regular beer.
