Also a private Golf Club
Horsley Lodge is a proprietary hotel and golf club, owned by a private company run by two brothers. The brother’s grandfather, created Mickleover Golf Club in 1924, and it was their father John H. Salt whose original idea of creating a course at Horsley some sixty five years later, enabled the brothers to construct the course at Horsley during the late 80’s,
The history of the lodge reveals it was originally built by The Earl of Stainsby in 1863 for his son as a wedding present but never lived in by him. It was rented out until 1986 when it was purchased as a farm.
It is now run as a Golf Club, restaurant and hotel, with a public bar serving real ale open to everyone.
This Pub serves 1 changing beer and 1 regular beer.
