Seventeenth-century pub on the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds between York and Malton. With its low ceilings and tiled flagged floors, the pub is homely and welcoming, serving locally sourced food and a range of local and regional ales. The pub has an intriguing series of rooms. A popular stopping off point for ramblers as well as locals. The pub hosts annual beer and gin festivals.
