A traditional 16th-century thatched Devon village inn. It was one of several inns on the main routes connecting important cities and towns offering accomodation to travellers. A friendly open plan pub offering morning coffees, lunches, afternoon teas, bar snacks and dinners - A La Carte menu. There is a lawned garden, sheltered courtyard and children's play area - families welcome. Bed and breakfast en-suite accomodation is available. Special promotion between 5 and 7pm each day when ale is available at £2.50 a pint. A beer festival is held on August Bank Holiday weekend.
