The large L-shaped bar has a log-burning stove. At one end is a pool table and darts board, guarded by a parrot. The guest beer changes regularly and is chosen to contrast with the regular ones. Food is available except Monday lunchtimes and Sunday to Tuesday evenings. Fresh eggs can be purchased and excellent home-produced, pickled eggs are sold behind the bar.
