Micropub opened in May 2019 in a former charity shop at the eastern end of the main street, and now established as a place for quality beer in the area. The bar area as you enter is simply but comfortably furnished and there is a small snug area at the rear. The beers and ciders for sale are displayed on a retro-style computer screen on the wall. Board games are available to play and there is low-volume background music. Look out for regular tap takeovers from local breweries and some further afield. Usually three or four cask beers plus up to five keg options and a real cider. All beer styles offered with a mix of strengths and colours. Good mix of friendly regulars and occasional visitors. Very dog friendly. Air conditioning for hotter days. Card payment only.
