This friendly local was originally part of a farm dating from 1700s and became a coaching inn during the 19th-century. The horseshoe shaped bar, with inglenook fire place, leads through to an adjoining restaurant where locally sourced food is served. A good range of beers from St Austell is always available, together with a local cider in summer. Popular with both cyclists and walkers, the pub lies just one mile from the Tarka Trail. Opening hours will change between Summer and Winter.
In same family since 1906 - now use the Stable Bar created in 1971 - the original pub rooms may have old fittings, but difficulty arranging a visit to them!
This Pub serves 1 changing beer and 1 regular beer.
