Formerly a Greene King pub, rescued from closure, and being refurbished bit by bit, by a local couple who previously ran the Golden Boar in Freckenham. The main drinking area forms a single front room around the bar, but there is a smaller room behind, on the left hand side, and both have a cosy feel. Home cooked food is available lunchtimes, with plans for evening meals eventually, the menu being mainly variations on standard pub classics, but at a higher standard, and with some interesting additions.
