This Pub is Closed Long Term
A former 18th century coaching inn, but now a one-bar, busy, town centre pub with a mixed clientele. Outside there is patio seating at the side and some pavement seating at the front during spring/summer period. Inside there is soft seating and food is served. The large TV screen shows mainly news items at low sound levels and rugby. At the bar 8 hand pumps generally have 4 GK ales often monthly specials, plus 4 guests. There are five ever changing ciders available.

Dates back to 1777, but may have been licensed much earlier.
