Previously known as the Pack Horse, bought by Blue Monkey in 2012, the pub received a top to-bottom renovation, uncovering lots of interesting original features. The stable bar at the back, reflects the pub’s past life as a coaching inn. Eight cask ales are always available. Choice of four real ciders sometimes including a perry, as well as Belgian bottled beers. Bar snacks include interesting range of pork pies.

CAMRA Pub of the Year 2019. Winner of Traditional and overall Branch Pub of the Year in 2023.
