A traditional pub that has been at the heart of the village since 1840. The long single bar serves both the public bar and the lounge which has a real fire. Paintings and framed photographs in the lounge record the Falklands conflict of 1982 and the involvement of the Parachute Regiment. Batham's Mild and Bitter are served all year while the stronger XXX is available during December. Cobs, pork pies and bar snacks are usually available. A large enclosed courtyard serves as an overflow area where there is a small patio to the front.
