Although tucked away it's well worth a visit in order to sample the Pride, HSB and the occasional Fullers guest. Huge outside seating area and well sited for walkers and campers. Nick and Becky do excellent meals but the times are restricted. There are many stories as to how such a large 1927 built roadhouse was sited away from the main A3, however it appears that the route was originally planned to run close by to make a roadhouse, but (as usual) minds were changed. Check the stained glass windows, one for Amey's of Petersfield, who built the pub. A recent refurbishment has revealed doorways that were part of the original construction.
This Pub serves 2 changing beers and 3 regular beers.
