Now an attractive restaurant and licenced caf, the Puffing Billy reopened in May 2015 after a prolonged period of closure. 2 bottled beers and 5 bottled Sam's ciders are kept.Built of the local Torrington Stone and formerly the railway station serving the town, the Puffing Billy maintains a railway theme and is now a hub of the popular Tarka Trail, which runs alongside the restaurant. Cycle hire is available nearby. Good value meals, snacks and cream teas are served, with breakfasts available from 10-12am. Look out for the large and impressive pictures of dogs. Longer opening hours in summer.
